Nelly took fans back to his debut era over the 2025 Independence Day weekend. The St. Louis musician commanded the stage at Zouk Los Angeles and transformed the nightclub into a nostalgic Hip-Hop affair. Outside the club, guests lined up in six-inch heels and designer jeans, waiting their chance to enter the fairly new venue. Nestled in the West Hollywood area, Zouk Los Angeles anticipated a sold-out crowd.
The scent of Dior Sauvage lingered in the air as VIBE checked in for our VIP table. Inside, entertainers posed on tables, and bottle girls delivered premium spirit options to groups of enthusiastic partiers celebrating everything from bachelorette nights to landmark birthdays. A DJ shuffled through Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, and more, which kept most attendees on their feet, beating the allegations that people don’t dance at L.A. clubs.
A lively showcase with drones and confetti took the energy of Zouk up a notch before Nelly’s climactic entrance. As fans echoed his chart-topping hits back to him, Nelly’s performance included “Where the Party At,” “E.I.,” “Grillz,” “Country Grammar,” “Hot in Herre,” and more. He also made sure to pay homage to Nate Dogg, shared a story about the late Long Beach musician before performing “Just A Dream.”
